My New Hero.

Lately,
I've been beyond blessed. I can't even explain how thankful I am for everything the Lord has done for me.
I recently was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship that is probably the most amazing thing you could ever dream of.
It'll pay all of my tuition.
Pay for my dorm room and food costs.
It'll pay for books and supplies.
I get a mac book pro and a printer.
Health Insurance if I need it.
They pay for all of my study abroad if I choose to go.
and so on.....
It's INSANE.
I want to cry just thinking about it.
It's called the Daniels Fund. This amazing guy named Bill Daniels decided to put together this foundation to help kids like me get an education. You can read more about him and this freakkkkin sweet scholarship by clicking here. or here.
My school counselor nominated me. I had to write three fifteen hundred word essays, and that was all. Then once I became a semi-finalist I had to have an interview. And for some strange reason they picked me. Seriously. I don't deserve it but I just wanted to blog about it to let the world know how excited, happy, scared, etc, etc, etc about this! Growing up is starting to kind of freak me out.
Graduation is soon. Adios Cedar High. Thank you Bill Daniels. Even though he has passed on, I will never be able to thank him enough. And more importantly to my Heavenly Father for blessing me so much.
Life is good.
"When you put your life in perspective, you realize how little time there is to make something truly significant out of it. To some people this might mean acquiring a lot of possessions. To others, building a business or owning property. And there are those whose lives won't be fulfilled unless they achieve fame and fortune. There's nothing wrong with any of these aspirations, but for me they pale in comparison to individuals who want to leave something more consequential to their legacy. For example, being the kind of person who takes the time to pass on knowledge and values to the next generation. Having family, friends and business associates remember you as an honest person. And helping others who will be left behind. I believe if you live your life in this way, you'll leave this world with a clear conscience, and with a smile on your face."
-Bill Daniels.
