potentially the best week of my life
Hey kiddos. It's been six days since my last post.
A very eventful six days, might I add.
Let me tell you about the best birthday of my life.
Here we go
Yes, I have a Jimmer jersey. Shoot me.
This is where we sat. THIRD ROW. Some people camped out for three days, and we went an hour before. Some kid was like pretty much pissed at me, but then I told him it was my birthday and he was nice again. What a peach.
This is how dedicated our student section is. They got there at least an hour before anyone showed up.
The entire student section of BYU did a flash mob dance. This video does not do it justice. It was SO AWESOME. Our student section is so legit. It kills me. Also, you can actually see me in this. I am two rows directly above the boys in the blue. Oh happy day. My mom watched it from the other side of the stadium, and said it was one of the coolest things she has ever seen. :)
There were also streamers and music. Magic happened at the Marriott center that day. I literally lost my voice. I could hardly contain my joy.
Who is this Jimmer kid?
We also got a picture with Cosmo, another item crossed off the bucket list!
All in all, a very wonderful Saturday.
2. Meeting the entire BYU basketball team. Which includes signed player cards from all of them, a signed jersey, and a picture with the one and only Jimmer Fredette. I also like the other guys too. Just to clarify. Basically we just chilled in the training room before their practice started. Rachel remained calm, cool, and collected, and carried on some pretty interesting conversations with them. Her and Noah talked about garments, and she told Jimmer he was supposed to give a speech at the "send off." I, on the other hand, acted like a complete fool and remained silent most of the forty minutes we were there. I was star struck! Anyway, best birthday present EVER. Thank you dad, mom, and Robert for being so awesome.
my signed jersey. ahhhh
Emery.
Magnusson.
Abouo.
Do I even need to say it?
Oh my goodness. It still doesn't seem real.
Please don't hate me.
3. Two days later it was my birthday! I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. It was SO sunny and beautiful outside. At midnight Rach and Brit threw toilet paper and confetti on me. That was hysterical. We also got yelled at for being so loud. Payback's a beast. . . We danced around and partied cause I AM NINETEEN! WAHOOOO. The next day we completely ditched class. BYU won their game. We went to the Draper temple and did baptisms. We came back, went on a walk, and played soccer. Yes, I Alex Halladay, played soccer. We then went to Costa, and had a birthday celebration at Brit and Bryns. Nolan, the twins, Adam, Brit's friends (cough cough), and Ryan were all there to see me bounce off the wall as I had a wonderful night and ate my lovely never on a sundae dessert. Thank you mother for the wonderful gifts (an "A" necklace, that colored keyboard that I wanted, some siiiiick shoes, and third row at the game.) Melissa sent me a painted shirt! Ash made me a cuuute headband. Spencer knitted me a scarf, and sent me a letter. Cutest thing ever. Thanks to everyone else for my wonderful gifts as well! I got three pair of TOMS! Lesa made me a birthday dinner and THE BEST chocolate cupcakes in the world. I have the best family and friends, and guess what?
I couldn't be happier.
Brit and Rach with the nasty toilet paper they threw on me. Creative.
