meet my dad

43 years ago the
funniest
craziest
nicest
most honest
guy that I know
was born.

That isn't a joke either. I think it was fate.
He was meant to be born on April fools day,
cause he is a fool.
I love him though, and I miss him a lot.

Happy birthday daddy-o. I hope you can forgive me for being such a punk at times. Thanks for taking care of me when I was a baby, and taking me on drives up the mountain to see the pretty leaves. Thanks for teaching me to love baseball. Thanks for coming and sitting with me through EVERY Hunter Safety class, and then once I passed buying me a sweet gun. I'm sorry that I pretended not to see the deer that one time we went hunting. . . I just love animals too much to kill them. Thanks for building us a racing track on the lot next door to us. I'm sorry I'm not that great at riding a dirt bike. Thanks for coaching my softball team, even though I was a pansy, and probably the worst softball player on earth, you still were encouraging, and let me get some occasional playing time. Thanks for sitting through ALL those violin recitals, and always bringing me roses. (Thanks mom too, I know that you may have had a big part in that.) Thanks for taking an interest in tennis so that we could practice together, and you would know what was going on during my matches. Thanks for teaching me to love the Bears and Red Sox. "Sicago" Bears never fail. Thanks for teaching me the "hava nagela" when I was a little girl, and for taking me on daddy-daughter dates to Burger King. Thanks for buying me a jeep when I was 16. . . Sorry I couldn't learn how to drive a manual. Thanks for supporting me in college even though you hate my school. (It's growing on you, I know it.) Thanks for being a worthy priesthood holder, and for always taking care of me when I need you most. Love you dad, thanks for always being yourself!

This is a video of my dad attempting to sing a song he has never heard before. You have to watch the whole thing to see the veins in his neck pop out. Ignore the hot mess behind him. It was Freshman year. . .

Happy April fools everyone!

Also, I really was pranked this morning. Chad Clayton and I made a short suggestive extra credit video for my Political Science class, and I was already really worried about it. Anyway, He told me the honor code office wanted to talk to us, and I literally wanted to puke. He's such a punk. That's all.

Keep Provo weird.

Love, Alex
