Dolce Fa Niente. It's Italian. Look it up.
So today after I got off work at like 2:30, I decided that I was going to spend the rest of the day doing whatever the heck I wanted. This was an excellent decision. In fact, I'm almost 99% positive it is one of the most excellent ones I have made all summer.
I had a nap, watched Bachelorette (if ding-bat dentist picks Josh Groban, I swear I'm gonna be peeeeeeiissed), went to the Tiki Shack with my mom, watched Eat Pray Love with my mom (which isn't actually as bad as everyone says. I quite liked it. Besides the leaving her husband part), hung out with my dog (a must), started letters, and last but not least played around on PhotoShop. I haven't done this in quite some time. PS and I used to be good friends. It was a great time for us to be reunited. I am a bit rusty, but a little practice should do the trick. I found some artistic photography online and was inspired to create a self portrait. Yep, I'm nuts. If you don't get it, then get out.
I started with this:
Added this:
And this:
Then this:
tweaked quite a few things. . .
And ended up with this:
A few more items of business:
1. My dog Molly is really sick. I have been distraught. Even if you aren't an animal person, please pray for her.
2. I need a good church cd suggestion to send to my good friend on his mission. He only asked for it 2 months ago. . .
3. I've started using baby powder for my greasy hair. It works miracles man. I'm tellin' ya.
4. My room is a disaster, and I like it.
5. I can't wait for BYU.
Cheers,
Alexis.
3 rants and raves:
