and then it all ended

I've been wanting to post something about Harry Potter for awhile now. I saw the premiere in Salt Lake, and it changed my life. K, not really but it was amazing. It was bitter sweet though. I felt like my childhood came to a quick end. What am I going to have to look forward to now? Are my kids even going to appreciate JK Rowlings genius-ness? Although there were things that definitely bothered me, I was still pretty satisfied. However, I'm still ticked that I never got my letter when I was eleven.

My dear friend Brittany, who accompanied me to the premiere, also paid tribute to the Potter series. You should seriously read her blog here. It moved me to tears.

(Ps I secretly have a crush on DR. He can totally be sexy when he's not talking or taking his shirt off.)

Things I loved about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2:
1. Bellatrix. Always a crowd pleaser
2. The dragon. I felt that part was pretty convincing.
3. The elder wand. I bought one too. Best $10 I ever spent.
4. The way they portrayed Draco was great.
5. The epilogue. They aged really well. I only wish it would've been a titch longer
6. King's Crossing. Pretty much how I imagined it, and I appreciated that Harry wasn't nude. That could've gotten pretty awkward. . .
7. Snapes memories. I only wish they would've been a little bit longer. But what can you do?
8. Professor McGonagall. Too bad Dumbledore was supposedly homosexual. They totally could've dated and had brilliant babies. Oh, and Neville. He is so bad a.
9. I was totally looking forward to when Mrs. Weasley called Bellatrix the b-word.They totally nailed it.
10. Hogwarts looks SO cool. Especially when they put the shield around it. Goosebumps.

Things I didn't really love:
1. A majority of the fans. Do you really have to clap after every line Harry speaks?
2. How Harry didn't roll the resurrection stone 3 times before meeting Voldy. Gay
3. How Harry didn't fix his wand before breaking the elder wand. WHOSE WAND IS HE GONNA USE NOW!?
4. I should have been longer. I needed more closer
5. Some parts were pretty cheesy. Like the fire, and when Harry and Voldy jumped off a building grabbing each others heads. What was that?
6. I hated how they didn't show anyone else in the battle scene. Tonks, Lupin, and everyone who died, people who didn't read the books wont even know how cool they were. :(
7. Why the beep was the ghost so scary?
8. Awkward kissing scenes. I swear I've never felt more uncomfortable in my life.
9. It moved too quickly. I sometimes had a hard time following what was going on and I've read the book multiple times.
10. They needed more Luna :)

Well, I guess I need to go find a new obsession. Any suggestions?

by the way, one thing i hated is that harry BROKE the elder wand! in the book, he put the wand "back where it came from" so if Harry dies a natural death the power of the wand will be broken. that's one thing that bugged me!
