Things I am thankful for July 2011:
1. The cabin.
We went as a fam for the 4th, plus I took the amazing Ashley Faldmo, and it was a blast. I have so many childhood memories at that place, that I can't help but be happy when I'm there.
2. My friends.
They make me happy when skies are grey. Even if I am anti-social. I'm getting better guys, I promise.
3. My family.
We have done a lot together this summer. Heck, today we went tubing down the zion river as a family. Also, my little sister and dog sleep with me at least twice a week. If that isn't the cutest thing you've ever heard, then you are crazy.
4. My cousins/my aunts
This summer has been a prime opportunity to hang out with my cousins in town. My aunt Stephanie especially, is like my second mom, and sometimes we just hang out. Haha she's actually really hilarious, and she doesn't even try. Hailey (21) and Lindsey (18 and 3/4) went to Europe for most of the summer, but now that they have been back it's been good to see them. We had a girls night the other day, and it was one of the funnest (is that a word?) nights ever. Lindsey is going to UVU in the Fall. It'll be really great to have someone I'm related to in the same town as me.
5. The tiki shack.
No lie, that place is HEAVEN. If you live nearby Cedar, I would suggest stopping by. I would recommend the "Local Peach". It's a combination of ice cream (at the bottom), peach flavored ice, topped with sweetened condensed milk. Oh baby. My mouth is watering right now. It's to die for.
6. My car.
Little Silvia is a little trooper. She is seriously the best. That beast got 42 mpg in Cali. She's only an '05 too. I lucked out.
7. Weddings.
In a way I think I would rather just stalk good weddings rather than ever have to plan my own. But they help me get lost in a world of love and pretty-ness, and pretend that I have a love life, except I don't. Not even close. Have you ever been to Cedar? Pretty sure I never see guys my age. Ever. And the fact that everyone and their dogs is getting married around me isn't helping. But it's ok. A time and a season for everything! Plus, there's lots I want to do with my life anyways. Also, I have really big news, so wait for that. No I'm not getting married. It has to do with the list of things I want to do, duh.
(dream dress. . . )
Welp. Seven is my favorite number so I'm stopping. I also have to wake up early for a family reunion. That'll be interesting.
In other news, Christmas is five months away. I love Christmas time. It makes me SO happy. Can't wait to annoy my new roommates by blasting christmas music in their ears in early October.
